DETAILS: The High Peaks Resorts is located on Main Street, in the center of the village. All rooms have private balcony or patio, with lake or mountain views. There are two indoor pools, two whirlpools, exercise room, nightly Happy Hour and live entertainment in the Dancing Bear Lounge. Village activities and nightclubs are located within walking distance. Lake Placid also features Bobsledding, Luge, Ice-Skating, Olympic venues and more. Overlooking the sparkling shores of Mirror Lake in Lake Placid, and in the very heart of the shopping, dining and entertainment district on Main Street, you’ll find the completely redesigned High Peaks Resort.

Whiteface Mountain, host of the 1932 & 1980 Winter Olympic offers the greatest vertical drop in the East, 3,430 feet. 72 Trails, 28% expert, 37% intermediate and 35% beginner, 425’ half pipe, FIS approved, 97% of Whiteface is covered with snowmaking. Enjoy a 3 mile intermediate trail from the summit, 11 lifts including a heated high speed gondola to “Little Whiteface” in 7 ½ minutes, 97% snowmaking, snowboard friendly, lifts operate 8:30am to 4pm. High Speed Quad from the base to top of Upper Valley Run in 6 minutes!
Lookout Mountain scheduled to open on December 2008. New triple chair accessed from the Easy Street trail, 2 new trails (intermediate trail meandering toward Kids Kampus and expert trail running parallel to the lift) 2,200 vertical feet, more Glades & 2 more expert runs will open for the 2009-2010 season.
